Structuring the content of meetings to meet member needs and expectations

This section emphasises the need to plan the content of meetings well ahead, how to vary the content of meetings and how to run them more efficiently so that members look forward to attending their Chapter

i) To enhance member enjoyment using a variety of different meeting structures
  • Build on your Ceremonial Plan (see SHAPE) to ensure the pattern of meetings is planned in advance
  • Plan alternatives to exaltations that takes account of the resources identified via INVOLVE and SOLOMON)
  • Consider multiple ceremonies to avoid losing candidates due to excessive wait times

ii) To run the business of the Chapter more efficiently
  • Examine every aspect of what happens in outside of the core ceremony and ask ‘does it add value’. If it doesn’t, then change what you do.
