Promoting your Chapter and connecting with potential feeder Lodges

This section points you towards basic advice for using printed, digital, and other media to reach a wider audience. Also, most lodges have a ‘Royal Arch Representative’, or similarly named post. Their role is to promote and encourage Master Masons to complete their Journey, and Discover More, by joining the most appropriate Royal Arch Chapter. Promoting your Chapter therefore also requires establishing effective communication with the RA Representitives in any perceived feeder Lodges.

What do we want (Aims) How do we get there (Steps) What to use (Resources)
Aim i) To make the Chapter more visible to existing and potential members
  • Using your Chapter Description, decide if the distinct nature of your Chapter can be used to develop promotional materials and engage suitable members to help create and operate such promotional materials.
  • Ensure that all materials adhere to UGLE guidance

Aim ii) To create effective communications and engagement with potential feeder Lodges
  • Identify key Lodges where current members have come from, especially any new members.
  • Identify other lodges that may be appropriate e.g., special interest lodges that match your membership profile.

Example Contact Letter to RA Reps

Aim iii) To support RA Craft Representatives in their role
  • Keep regular contact with RA Reps in key lodges
  • Offer these Reps support and information to help them in their work
  • Volunteer for the Role of RA Representative in your own lodge.
