Encourage involvement and support those in office

This area focuses on supporting the key Officers of the Chapter, as well as those in the progressive offices. This will encourage future involvement of those not in office.

Aim i) To support newly appointed Officers both before and after taking up their post
  • Use the Chapter succession plan to identify any changes in the key offices (see SHAPE) and ensure that sufficient time is allowed for hand-over
  • Encourage outgoing Officers to maintain contact with their successors

Aim ii) To support and educate Companions as they progress through to Principals’ Chairs
  • Ensure that the duties of each progressive office is clearly explained as well as the historical origins of each office
